EPA Speaker Series
The Leadership Board for Applied Research and Public Service, in conjunction with the Institute for International Cooperative Environmental Research at Florida State University and the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response (OSWER) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), organizes a series of seminars on national environmental issues for students and faculty at the Florida State University (FSU) and the Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University (FAMU). The primary purposes of the seminar series are to:
  • provide current information on environmental issues in the United States;
  • acquaint students with career path opportunities within the EPA; and
  • encourage summer internships for FSU/FAMU students in the OSWER of the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
These seminars have been scheduled throughout the 2004-2005 academic year. They were also integrated into the FSU Career Center events. EPA internship booth was presented during the FSU Job Fair.

So far Florida State University has hosted the following speakers:
