Dr. Khankhasayev is responsible for development and management of international cooperative environmental programs of the Florida State University with leading research and educational
institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States. He provides technical support to special U.S. DOE environmental programs with Russia, Ukraine, and Argentina. His duties include
the development and management of contracts, organizing and conducting topical workshops, conferences and seminars. His background is theoretical nuclear physics. For the last decade
his research has been focused on nuclear waste management and environmental issues. Dr. Khankhasayev is a member of American Physical and American Nuclear Societies. He has
authored over 65 articles and is editor or co-editor of 6 books.
